Overview

Galileo Galilei. The very name makes me conjure up images of the planet Jupiter and its moons since ,after all, Galileo did discover the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn. He was the man who invented the telescope and a man who has made many great contributions to the sciences. But he was also known to throw objects of the Leaning Tower of Pisa to see how fast they would travel. However in this experiment we will be looking at one of his most famous experiments... rolling a ball down a ramp and seeing how the acceleration of gravity makes them speed up according to how much they weigh. Most people at the time thought that heavy objects will fall faster than light objects. Galileo thought that this was incorrect and ran this experiment to try and prove the other scientists wrong...

"Measure what is measurable, and make measurable what is not so."
